MinuteMen Defense is a volunteer preparedness and emergency communications organization that combines a structured approach to leadership and training with a community-focused preparedness mission. We bring people together to develop practical skills, strengthen readiness, and support themselves, their families, and their communities. Discipline, teamwork, and a shared sense of responsibility guide our efforts, and we hold ourselves accountable to one another.
We believe preparedness begins with everyday people learning useful skills and helping one another. Through training and shared practice, members develop their understanding of emergency communications, personal and household readiness, and working together during challenging situations.
With members across Washington, Nevada, Oregon, and Idaho, MMD connects local groups through shared learning and resources. Members bring their experience, learn from others, and build relationships grounded in respect, responsibility, and a willingness to contribute.
Our goal is to help people feel more prepared and better able to contribute when their families or communities face difficulties. Safety, respectful conduct, and working within our training and appropriate authorization guide our activities.
